The Client

  • Gulf-based leading consumer goods company with annual turnover in excess of US$3 billion
  • Business units include poultry, infant formula, dairy, juices, bakery, and desserts
  • Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with over 50 finance resources in shared services center at the same location

Business Need
The client wanted to benchmark its finance operations operating out of the shared services center and needed insights on how to manage best-in-class shared services and run like a ‘factory’ model.

  • Lack of right tools, leading to error-prone and manual processes with limited transparency and significant delays

Our Solution
Infosys conducted an in-depth review of the business and defined processes from scratch:

  • Benchmarking of F&A processes – AP, financial accounting and reporting– to identify performance gaps
  • Recommended change in operating model after detailed process study and laid out a roadmap with over 40 initiatives to be taken up over a two-year period
  • Recommended best practices to optimize the overall running of the shared services center
