In my current engagement with a global automotive manufacturing client, I am responsible for identifying and executing opportunities that improve effectiveness of spend, by applying various category management techniques and best practices.
I started my career 14 years ago, after getting my Bachelor’s Degree in International Economic Relations, as a Buyer in a pharmaceutical company, working in areas of both direct and indirect spend. After 9 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Senior Buyer and Continuous Improvement Executive, I have gained valuable experience in material sourcing, planning, supplier relationship management, supply chain and lean technologies.
My personal goal to grow and develop further, led me to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business Studies and a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma. This was followed by some valuable knowledge and unique lessons of business process optimization during the years of economic crisis.
In order to diversify my experience, I joined an international tobacco company as Head of Procurement. My challenge was to manage a team of buyers in a risky environment, rising inflation and local currency devaluation during a climate where there were government efforts to regulate the business. Working in such an environment enabled me to be better prepared to take up the role in outsourcing industry. 4 years on in the tobacco industry, I joined the Sourcing and Procurement Practice at Infosys.
My professional journey has imbibed in me unique skills, which enables me to deliver value in a smart and efficient manner. I strongly believe that my exposure across a variety of industries, clients, processes and challenges helps me in my quest to pursue success.
