I am currently working as a Program Manager at Infosys, USA. In my current engagement with a US telecom major client, I am responsible for the overall delivery of Sourcing & Procurement services being provided from USA, India and Ireland.
I hold a degree in Materials Engineering and a post-graduation in Business Administration. I am also IPSCM (International Purchasing & Supply Chain Management Institute) certified from ITC (International Trade Center), Geneva. I have more than 14 years of experience in the field of Category Management and Sourcing & Procurement across the pharmaceutical, manufacturing and outsourcing industries handling direct as well as indirect categories.
I started my professional career as an Assistant Manager – Strategic Sourcing, in a leading pharmaceutical company handling raw materials and R&D lab equipment categories.
My next role was as Manager – Sourcing, in one of the leading paint manufacturing companies in Asia where my portfolio included sourcing & vendor development of raw materials for monopoly segments, cost-savings initiatives and new product developments.
The opportunity to work across various industries and sectors; processes and technologies, while working in the services industry enticed me to join Infosys 7 years back. I have worked with clients in the telecom, financial services, insurance, hospitality, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries during this stint. This has helped me gain knowledge about various industry best-practices and has also helped me bring out a differentiated value proposition to the clients.
I believe that companies which are willing to embrace innovation, in line with the latest procurement trends will become more agile, adaptable and capable to meet their CPO’s key objectives; thereby changing the procurement landscape in the coming years.
