I currently work as Lead, Supply Market Intelligence, for a global mining client.
I am a Chemical Engineer with a Post Graduation in Business Administration with over 7 years of experience in supply market intelligence across industries and spend categories. I started my professional career as a Research Analyst where I was responsible for developing customized supply market intelligence reports, supplier score cards, cost models, supplier benchmarks and insights for developing category strategies.
Over the last 7 years, I supported various clients across industries including Mining, Telecommunications, Packaging, Plastics and Polymers, IT and Pharmaceuticals. By working across industries and clients I have gained rich cross-cultural exposure, supporting procurement professionals in North America, South America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Australia.
I have essayed various roles including working as an Analyst tracking polymers market, as a team lead managing indirect supply market intelligence and as a Senior operations manager having the responsibility of managing the market intelligence team for client accounts. Through all these roles, I have been fortunate to gain valuable experience in understanding and decoding client requirements, identifying and delivering actionable insights and taking a proactive, outcome-driven approach to delivering powerful supply market insights.
I strongly believe that supply market intelligence is an integral part of the category management and sourcing process. This was one of the key drivers that led me to join Infosys BPM where supply market intelligence is integrated intrinsically with sourcing. This move has brought me closer to clients, providing me an opportunity to deliver research findings that are contextual and actionable.
I strongly believe that in this dynamic world, right information at the right time will be a key differentiator and am excited to be part of the journey supporting clients in their insight-driven decision making process.
