In my current role as an Assistant Manager, Strategic Sourcing in Infosys BPM for a global mining major, I am responsible to identify and execute opportunities that efficiently utilize the company’s spend, enabling cost-savings by applying various sourcing-techniques and best-practices.

After obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, I started my professional career as an engineer in an Iron and Steel conglomerate, working in areas of Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning. After 5 years in the manufacturing industry as a Deputy Manager, I gained valuable experience in Plant Utilities, Plant Commissioning, Sourcing and Supply Chain Management.

In order to diversify my experience, I joined a French-government owned renewable-energy power plant . My challenge was to manage a team of buyers in an upcoming and dynamic renewable energy sector. Working in such a challenging environment made me stronger and better prepared to take up the role in an outsourcing environment. After two years in the energy-sector it was time to move ahead and join the Sourcing and Procurement team at Infosys BPM.

My personal goal to grow and develop has led me to pursue PMP Certification as well as implementation of Lean board / Trackers which gave me valuable insights on implementing effective techniques for business process optimizations.

My professional journey has taught me a lot of diversified skills. The best experience is the one of success after hard and smart work and I strongly believe that my exposure across a variety of industries, clients and challenges will help me achieve greater heights, as a professional, everyday.
