John joined Infosys Portland in 2012 to establish a specialised Marketing Practice to assist organisations optimise the efficiency, effectiveness and value from marketing expenditure and their service providers. The Practice has reviewed over $3B in spend and developed strategies to optimise value return across all typical areas of expenditure. Prior to this, John was a Marketing Director at Telstra, responsible for all marketing suppliers, media, governance and operations. He has also worked at Director level within global creative, digital, media agencies within WPP – Ogilvy and Y&R Brands and McCann World Group. With over 25 years’ experience across marketing, procurement and the marketing services landscape; John brings a unique combination of deep marketplace insight, strategic consulting and marketing procurement expertise to help organisations create more value from marketing expenditure, optimise operating models and processes, design fit for purpose service provider models, source high performing suppliers and negotiate fair value for money remuneration arrangements.
