Bottomline: Procurement is uniquely positioned within an enterprise to unearth new sources of value beyond just driving down costs.

The interesting survey-led thought leadership report highlights the evolving expectations from Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and presents a forward looking view of future trends in Procurement. It is our data-driven belief that Procurement is key to building a cohesive enterprise ecosystem and the organization’s competitive advantage.

HFS Research and Infosys BPM surveyed 300 senior procurement executives across the Global 2000 enterprises. The gist of this study captures that:

  • Ninety-five percent (95%) of procurement executives believe that procurement organizations of the future should act as ecosystem builders that drive collaboration across multiple organizations to generate new sources of value.
  • Ninety percent (90%) of respondents agree that the CPO of the future will need to be both a great buyer and a great seller to convince the enterprise that procurement can and should be its ecosystem builder.
