CPO & Procurement Executives as Enterprise Ecosystem Builders

Infosys BPM is excited to announce a collaborated research study with HFS Research titled ‘Procurement is Uniquely Positioned as the Enterprise Ecosystem Builder.’

Bottomline: Procurement is uniquely positioned within an enterprise to unearth new sources of value beyond just driving down costs.

The interesting survey-led thought leadership report highlights the evolving expectations from Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and presents a forward looking view of future trends in Procurement. It is our data-driven belief that Procurement is key to building a cohesive enterprise ecosystem and the organization’s competitive advantage.

HFS Research and Infosys BPM surveyed 300 senior procurement executives across the Global 2000 enterprises. A highly respected and enterprise CXO–centric research team of Saurabh Gupta — President, Ian Maher — OneOffice™ Council Leader and Divya Iyer — Research Director authored this study with a foreword from Kapil Jain — Infosys BPM Executive Vice President & Global Head of Sales and Capabilities, and industry expertise inputs from Infosys BPM Sourcing & Procurement enterprise services leadership team.

The gist of this study captures that:

  • Ninety-five percent (95%) of procurement executives believe that procurement organizations of the future should act as ecosystem builders that drive collaboration across multiple organizations to generate new sources of value.
  • Ninety percent (90%) of respondents agree that the CPO of the future will need to be both a great buyer and a great seller to convince the enterprise that procurement can and should be its ecosystem builder.
  • Procurement Leaders can become the Catalyst for Enterprise Transformation.
