Infosys BPO receives an ASTD Excellence in Practice in Coaching and Mentoring Citation
GuruCool, an Infosys BPO mentoring initiative, has received an American Society of Training & Development (ASTD) Excellence in Practice Citation in the Coaching and Mentoring category.
Infosys launched Gurucool in 2011, a unique program which today boasts of 5000+ Infoscions under its wing. In the program, over 150 Gurus from the company leadership mentor employees who are 0 to 12 months old in the organization. A fabulous forum for nurturing and grooming, Gurucool connects junior employees with the organization and facilitates mentoring.
The ASTD award ceremony was held in Washington on May 5, 2014. Dr. Archana Arcot – Human Resource Business Leader, Americas, received the coveted award on behalf of Infosys BPO.
ASTD is the world's largest professional association dedicated to the training and development field. Founded in 1944, it conducts research on workplace and investment learning, and awards the contribution of individuals and organizations to this area.
