Skanska was on a mission to set up a shared service center for its finance and accounting (F&A) processes. Infosys provided the domain and skillset, assisting Skanska in accomplishing this transformation project. With support from Infosys, the transition from a distributed environment to a single shared service center (SSC) was smooth and efficient. Infosys and Skanska realized the benefits of SSC with the help of three steps – assessing the organization’s preparedness for change, creating a robust target operating model, and finally achieving it through joint execution. As a result, the organization now enjoys and focuses on its core business.
