Infosys BPM positioned as a leader in 2026 NelsonHall NEAT report for operational transformation leveraging agentic AI

According to NelsonHall, enterprise automation is evolving from deterministic, rules-based workflows toward agentic autonomous through AI agents that can make dynamic decisions and adapt in real-time. It further notes that while this shift creates significant opportunities for operational transformation, it also introduces new complexities around data, process orchestration, AI governance, change management, and scalability, among others.

Looking ahead, NelsonHall expects this evolution to extend beyond individual processes and functions towards “Connected Enterprise” operations.

Given this outlook, Infosys has developed a number of solutions and components using its AI platform that can be used as part of building agentic, or more automated processes.

In its analysis of performance of Infosys, NelsonHall has identified Infosys BPM as a Leader in its 2026 NEAT report for Operational Transformation Leveraging Agentic AI in the Embedding Agentic AI into Managed Services market segment, reflecting Infosys’ ability to meet future client requirements as well as delivering immediate benefits to its clients.

Key highlights from the report

Using its NEAT tool, NelsonHall evaluated a total of 14 vendors based on two assessment criteria: ‘Ability to deliver immediate benefit’ and ‘Ability to meet client future requirements.’

In its analysis of Infosys BPM, NelsonHall highlighted the following strengths:

  • Infosys has created a number of solutions to speed up the development of ideas and blueprints for agentic transformation.
  • Smart view on existing automation deployments, with the company not necessarily looking to rip and replace existing transformation efforts, but build on deployments of RPA, for example, when it is delivering results.
  • Opportunity and program in progress to embed agentic AI across its own platforms, including AP on Cloud, enhancing automation and scalability.
  • Significant investment in its workforce to train them in AI and for these employees to supply new automation ideas and be measured on usage through gamification.
  • Strong guardrails with focus not only on technical guardrails, but also legal ones that are customized to the client use case and will reduce the risks associated with non-deterministic automation.

“Infosys BPM was identified as a Leader in Achieving Operational Transformation Leveraging Agentic AI based on its structured approach to identifying, developing, and embedding agentic AI into business process services. Its combination of reusable assets such as Agent Foundry, Transition Smart, and its AI playbook, alongside its responsible AI guardrails, provides a solid foundation for enterprise adoption.”
