Session description
Humberto will speak about the ongoing partnership between shared services center (SSC) and business process outsourcing organizations. He will also share his journey and experiences of working in varied SSC and BPO environments.

The session will be delivered in a workshop-like fashion, where participants get an overview of the Shared Service Center life cycle and where it stands. Instead of seeing SSCs in a process of transformation to BPO, participants will see BPO as a partner that leverages the results foreseen by an SSC, bringing it to a new level. Attend the session and get answers to these questions:

  • How does the life cycle work: from SSC to global business services (GBS)?
  • SSC versus GBS: what are the differences and how does the new model impact the bottom line?
  • Roadmap: where is your SSC today?
  • How and when you should use BPO as a partner?
  • What should an SSC operating with excellence today do tomorrow?
  • Why does an SSC need to define a vision and strategy?
  • Conclusion: BPO, a threat or a partner of an SSC?
