Speaker Profile

Poornima Prasad has been with Infosys since the inception of Infosys BPO in April 2002, where she saw it grow from three employees to over 16,500 employees. She has been instrumental in defining and establishing its best-in-class training and talent enhancement practices. She also institutionalized and led the Infosys Affirmative Action Program, which works towards transforming the talent context and runs award winning initiatives like Project Genesis. Poornima and her team were the first recipients of Infosys Award for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusivity category in 2007. In her current role, she heads HR for the Americas region and is based out of Plano, Texas.

Poornima has a PhD in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations. She has many publications in international journals. Prior to her corporate experience, Poornima taught Psychology at the University.
