Infosys BPO, the business process outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, has been awarded the
Provider of the Year award by FAO Today Magazine, a thought leadership publication covering the US$ 39 billion
finance and administrative outsourcing industry. A total of six awards, recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of
four executives and two organizations were announced at the FAO Today ONE Conference for Finance and Procurement Globalization
on November 15, 2007 at the Marriott Evergreen Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, Georgia. An independent selection
committee comprised of industry participants carefully reviewed dozens of companies and hundreds of executives in both
captive and outsourced environments to recognize the best and the brightest.
According to
Elliot Clark, CEO, FAO Today Magazine, “Our selection committee was unanimous in its selection of Infosys BPO
as the Provider of the Year. The meteoric growth of Infosys BPO is due to its innovative go to market strategy, its aggressive
deal structures and the phenomenal service. Infosys BPO has now become one of the top global BPO firms and their selection
for this award over some of the more established players demonstrates their status as a new industry leader.”
“Infosys is delighted to receive this award. We have a robust F&A practice and the ability to deliver F&A services
seamlessly from multiple global locations. This, coupled with process excellence and our transformational approach, reinforces
our leadership position in the fast growing FAO segment. This recognition validates our strategy and the significant
investments we have made in our F&A practice to add measurable business value to our clients,” says
Amitabh Chaudhry, CEO & MD, Infosys BPO Limited.
This award is especially significant after Infosys BPO won the landmark USD 250 Million Philips deal in July 2007, which
further enhanced its capabilities and positioned it as one of the global leaders in the FAO segment.
