Shamita Mukherjee
Senior Vice President and Global Head – HRD, Infosys BPM

Shamita Mukherjee is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources Development (HRD), and a member of the Executive Council of Infosys BPM. She is a proven leader with deep expertise, extensive experience, and a visionary perspective in HRD spanning over three decades.
In her current role as Global Head of HRD, she is responsible for all aspects of talent management globally across the organization. Over the last decade at Infosys, Shamita has managed various key HRD functions. She served as Group Head for Total Rewards for the entire Infosys group of companies, globally. In this role, among her many achievements, she led the introduction of Infosys’ Employee Stock Option plans (2015 and 2019) and the Executive Remuneration model for Infosys Leadership.
An accomplished HRD professional, she has led the organization’s efforts as CHRO for Infosys subsidiary companies, managing a portfolio of 14 global companies, both acquired and organic. This role, conceived under her leadership, evolved from its inception to its current form. It also saw the first-ever implementation of an end-to-end HRIS technology platform in the subsidiary landscape. In fostering a cohesive organization among diverse teams, she continues to build a strong and culturally diverse enterprise ready for the future. Her core strength lies in reimagining new-age HR dynamics to build seamless HR systems and solutions, robust talent processes, and strong compliance norms to create strategic business impact.

Before joining Infosys BPM in 2003, she worked with prestigious organizations such as Mercer, LG Electronics, and Titan, and was also a co-founder of an entrepreneurial venture. She began her second innings with Infosys in 2012.
Shamita holds an MBA in HR from XLRI (1993) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Statistics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University (1991).
