Infosys BPM partnered with its client to address single- and sole-sourcing challenges caused by institutional force of habit. The client faced a major challenge due to the stiff vendor qualifying criteria in the aerospace industry, amounting to a loss of over $2 Mn. Infosys BPM deployed its spend analysis solutions in order to analyze historical data sets. The team identified additional concerned suppliers and parts manufacturers, and also researched the supply base and studied market data as well as supplier provided data, providing several avenues for multi-sourcing. With Infosys BPM’s new sourcing strategies, the client was able to multi-million dollar savings.
